Dear Brenley, it's so nice to read from you. Thank you! You were and are an inspiration (even without intention on your part and not only!) for dealing with pain and loss. I have learned that grief is a process in which every single cell is reoriented, as confidant anchors and lighthouses are lost (for our senses here on this earth). Old familiar paths can no longer be walked with the same rhythm. All we can really do is make decisions, but I don't need to know the how. Solutions, ways and helping hands will be there. Your way sounds really interesting and successful for your way of life and healing. Something are very familia. I spend time for studying and learning new knowledges, I wear clothes and use tools of my son, to walk barefoot…

But now I would like to use this comment for wishes on your birthday. We are in Hungary and it is the 11th;). We wish you much strength, inspired times & meets, easiness & happiness during the way to your own rhythm and god’s bless. Take your time and space!

It’s good to read that you are keeping busy with your painting and woodworking and spending tons of time outdoors. That earthing path sounds amazing and I’ll try to find the time to watch the documentary. Glad to hear that Kate is living nearby now.

I hope all of this will help with your healing process.

Thanks for sharing this with us. And if it is too hard and overwhelming to sit down and write and share, everyone will understand.

Was so good seeing you in Huntsville the other week.

Sending hugs from Hangover, Katja

It was so lovely to see you too K! I wish we’d had more time to catch up. I had so much fun up there on stage and it was a relief both to know I can still do it and that I still love it. :)

I was very happy to see a substack notice from you today! It's been a long time and I've wondered how you've been doing all these silent months. (I suppose we get used to hearing from celebrities all the time with social media and we can forget that your life isn't always on display for public viewing).

It does seems that you are finding solace in things that keep you close to those you are missing. That is so wonderful! I hope your journey continues to be a positive one. It's always so nice to hear what's going on with you and that you can share with us some of those things helping you find peace and healing. Many of us can relate to the loss you feel.

Enjoy the outdoors and all it's beautiful colors before the long, cold winter arrives.

Be well. ❤️

Thx Darlene. I am slowly coming out from my cocoon and I can feel that urge to share the things I’ve been up to. I’m off to Portugal on Thursday so hopefully I’ll get that urge while I’m there. :)

Brenley, I was so pumped to see a new post from you today! I'm so sorry to hear about the weight of [insert new word that is big enough to capture the gravity of the grief you've experienced. Maybe the Germans have a word for it]. I always love hearing what you're up to, but I know how Scheiße life has been for you lately. Keep going at your own pace and know that I hold a place for you in my heart always! (See what I did there?).

May the fall landscape grant you some peace. Also it's Libra season! Go team Libra 🤘🥳

Another insightful piece with facets that many can identify with. I look forward to a time when you share some of your creations from the art studio and the wood shop.

Thanks John! I definitely will post my creations when the time feels right. I’m struggling with the sharing as of late. When I’m involved in a project or a process, the last thing I think of doing is sharing it or even documenting it in some way which used to be so second nature at one time.

As a one brief moment roadie for MV (Waterdown, Aug 18, 2018) and a many, many times audience member (including at FAI 2019 where you came into the audience and sang right beside me - I have the video), I’m wishing you much success in your healing journey!

By the way, if you are ever seeking very specific advice in your woodworking world, I have a good friend that is a master.
